It's made by blending strawberries with fresh lemon juice, sugar, and water for a vibrant, homemade summer beverage.

This homemade sugar-free cherry lemonade recipe is made with freshly squeezed lemon juice, sweet cherries, and Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener.

It has the perfect balance of sweet and tart-without any added sugar-making it a healthy, low-glycemic option. You can easily substitute regular sugar if you prefer a more traditional version.

 Ingredients You'll Need

  • Strawberry: Add natural sweetness, rich color, and fruity flavor. You can use either fresh or thawed frozen strawberries.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: The key ingredient for classic lemonade flavor. Always use freshly squeezed juice for the best taste.Lime juice can be used as a substitute if needed.
  • Sugar Alcohol: Balances the tartness of the lemons and blueberries. I used Lakanto Golden Monk Fruit Sweetener. It can also be swapped for regular sugar if you prefer a traditional version.Adjust the amount based on your fruit's sweetness and personal preference.
  • Filtered Water: Helps mellow and balance the strong, concentrated flavors of the lemon and strawberry mixture.

How to Make Strawberry Lemonade

Note: The full instructions are provided in the recipe card below.

  1. Blend strawberries with ½ cup water until smooth.
  2. (Optional) Strain for a pulp-free version.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a pitcher and add the remaining water, lemon juice, and sugar.
  4. Stir until the sugar has dissolved; then taste and adjust the sweetness as needed.
  5. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving, or serve immediately over ice.

 Storage & Make Ahead

Storage: Store leftover strawberry lemonade in a covered pitcher or an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Stir well before serving, as natural separation may occur.

Make Ahead: While strawberry lemonade is best enjoyed fresh, you can make it up to 1 day in advance and keep it refrigerated. For the best flavor, stir again just before serving and add ice at the last minute.

 Camila's Tips & Variations

  • Roll your lemons before juicing to extract the most juice from each one
  • Adjust to taste by adding more sugar for sweetness or more lemon juice for a tangier flavor
  • Make it sparkling by adding sparkling water or club soda in place of still water, just before serving.

    Equipment

    • Measuring cups
    • Food Processor

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
    • ¾ pound (2 cups) fresh strawberry
    • 1 cup Lakanto Golden Monk Fruit Sweetener or Classic Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener or 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 8 cups Filter water

    Instructions

    • In a blender or food processor, add the strawberry and ½ cup of water; blend or purée until completely smooth, then transfer the mixture into a pitcher. (For pulp-free: pass the mixture through a fine sieve, if desired).
    • Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, remaining water, and sugar to the pitcher and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Taste and add more sugar if necessary.
    • Chill the strawberry lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving, or serve immediately over ice.

    Notes

    How to Store
Store any leftover lemonade in a covered pitcher or bottle for up to 2 days. Stir the lemonade well before serving, as the ingredients may settle over time.
    Make-Ahead
You can prepare the puree and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Cover it with plastic wrap or transfer it to an airtight container. Mix it according to the recipe instructions and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Cover the pitcher or bottle with a lid or plastic wrap to prevent the lemonade from absorbing any flavors or odors from the fridge. When ready, combine the strawberry puree and lemonade in a pitcher and stir well. You can also add ice cubes and garnishes such as lemon wedges and fresh strawberries at this time.
Overall, preparing sugar-free strawberry lemonade can save you time and make serving easier when ready. Just store the strawberry puree and lemonade separately and combine them before serving for the best flavor.
