Orange coleslaw is a cabbage salad made with shredded cabbage, carrots, onion, and a citrus dressing of orange juice, lime juice, and oil.

It's commonly served as a side dish and known for its crisp texture and bright, fresh flavor.
This orange coleslaw recipe is made with fresh cabbage, carrots, orange zest, and a simple citrus vinaigrette.
It pairs well with grilled meats, fish, or barbecue, and can be prepared ahead since the flavor improves as it rests.
How to Make Orange Coleslaw
Note: The full instructions are provided in the recipe card below.
Shred the cabbage and carrot in a food processor with the shredding disc attachment.
Add the shredded cabbage, carrot, and onion to a large bowl.
Whisk the rest of the ingredients together in another small bowl until fully combined and smooth.
Toss them together thoroughly and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Storage, Make Ahead, & Freezing
Storage: Store orange coleslaw in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving to redistribute the dressing.
Make Ahead: Prepare the coleslaw up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate. The cabbage softens slightly, and the citrus flavors blend together.
Freezing: Not recommended. Cabbage and carrots lose their crisp texture and become watery after thawing.
