This Durazno con crema recipe is a simple yet very special one. It was one of the first desserts I made for my husband, and he still loves it to this day.
It has become a family favorite. This simple, light, no-bake treat is refreshing and incredibly easy to prepare, making it the perfect dessert for any occasion. Give it a try—I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as we do!
🛒 Ingredients You'll Need
- Peaches in syrup: The main ingredient. I prefer peaches that come in a glass jar because I think they taste better, but any peaches in syrup—whether canned or in a glass jar—will work. I like using Wegmans Old Fashioned Peach Slices.
- Table cream (crema de leche/media crema):👉 Nestlé brand recommended, but heavy cream can be used as a substitute; however, it won’t have the same taste.
- Sugar: Adds sweetness.

Note: Full instructions are provided in the recipe card below.
1. Drain the peaches, saving the syrup if needed. Cut into cubes or slices.
2. In a large bowl, mix peaches, table cream, and sugar until well combined.
3. Add syrup for a thinner consistency or omit for a thicker texture.
4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for a creamier, refreshing taste (optional). Serve.
Hint: Try adding a bit of the syrup and sweetening with sweetened condensed milk instead of sugar for extra flavor.
🫙 Storage, Make Ahead, & Freezing
- Storage: Keep the peach with cream mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Make Ahead: Prepare it 1 day in advance and refrigerate to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Freezing: I don't recommend freezing.
📝 Camila's Tips & Variations
- Sweetness Adjustment: Adjust the sugar to taste depending on the sweetness of your peaches. If using fresh peaches, you may need a little more sugar.
- Flavor Boost: Add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon to elevate the flavor.
- Chill Longer: If you prefer an even creamier taste, refrigerate for a few hours or overnight to allow the flavors to fully meld.
