Made with media crema or heavy cream and sweetened with sugar or condensed milk.

This easy, no-bake dessert is served cold-perfect for summer or whenever you crave something light and refreshing.

This crema con fresa recipe is a quick and easy dessert my family loves-and one of my favorites too.

Made with fresh strawberries and a rich, sweet cream, it comes together in minutes and is perfect for any occasion.

This no-bake dessert was inspired by my popular durazno con crema recipe on this site.

Ingredients You'll Need

  • Strawberries: Fresh, juicy, and slightly tart-they're the main ingredient and add natural flavor and color. You can substitute with any fruit you like, fresh or canned.
  • Nestlé Media Crema (table cream): A light, pourable cream that gives the dessert a smooth, creamy texture without being too rich. It can be substituted with heavy cream, though the flavor may vary slightly.
  • Sugar: Adds sweetness to balance the tartness of the fruit. You can substitute with sweetened condensed milk.
  • Vanilla extract (optional): Enhances the flavor.

See the recipe card for quantities.

How to Make Crema con Fresa

Note: Full instructions are provided in the recipe card below.

1. Hull and slice strawberries.

2. Mix media crema with sugar or sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.

3. Combine with strawberries.

4. Chill for 15-30 minutes.

5. Serve cold.

Crema con Frutilla

Hint: If you like a richer, sweeter cream, try sweetening it with sweetened condensed milk instead of sugar-it makes it extra delicious. Let it chill before serving so the flavors come together.

Storage, Make Ahead, & Freezing

Storage: Keep the strawberry with cream mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Make Ahead: Prepare it 1 day in advance and refrigerate to allow the flavors to meld together.

Freezing: I don't recommend freezing.

Camila's Tips & Variations

  • Swap the fruit: This recipe works great with canned peaches, mango, or mixed berries-use whatever you have on hand.
  • Make it ahead: You can prep this dessert a few hours in advance-just keep it chilled until ready to serve.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Media Crema?

Media crema, or table cream, is a light, pourable cream used in many Latin American dishes. It's thicker than milk but lighter than heavy cream, with a mild flavor. It adds a smooth, creamy texture to both sweet and savory recipes.

What's the difference between media crema and heavy cream?

Media crema is lighter and more pourable, while heavy cream is thicker and richer. Both work, but media crema gives a more traditional taste and texture.

Can I blend the strawberries into the cream?

Yes! For a different texture, you can blend a portion of the strawberries into the cream for a fruity, pink base-then fold in the rest as chunks.

Check out this official Nestlé GoodNes FAQ section, where they explain what media crema is, how it differs from other creams, and how to use it in both sweet and savory recipes.
