How to Make Chinese Dipping Sauce

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons of hot chili oil. Whisk the Sauce until well combined. Enjoy!

    Ingredients
      

    For the Sauce:

    • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
    • 3 tablespoons light soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons Chinese rice vinegar
    • 2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil , optional
    • 2 tablespoon hot chili oil , to taste
    • ½ teaspoon brown sugar , to taste

    Instructions

    Notes

    How to Store 
    Transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week. After refrigeration, the sauce may thicken or separate, but stir it or bring it to room temperature before using it again.
    Make-Ahead
    To make Easy Spicy Chinese Dipping Sauce, mix all the ingredients as per the recipe and refrigerate the sauce for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together and develop more depth and complexity. Cover the Chinese dipping sauce bowl with plastic wrap or transfer it to an airtight container before refrigerating it.
