Agua de Jamaica "No sugar added"

Jump to Recipe

Agua de Jamaica, known as Hibiscus Tea, is a refreshing and delicious beverage in many Latin American countries.

This beverage is made by steeping dried hibiscus flowers in water and then sweetening the resulting tea to taste.

Agua de Jamaica No sugar added

Agua de Jamaica is naturally caffeine-free and is rich in antioxidants, making it a healthy and hydrating alternative to other sugary drinks.

In this recipe, we'll show you how to make this classic beverage using monk fruit sweetener, a natural, low-calorie alternative to traditional sugar. With its vibrant color and tangy flavor, Agua de Jamaica will become your household's new favorite.

For another classic, be sure to try our recipe for Homemade Horchata, a creamy and refreshing Latin American favorite.

How to Make Agua de Jamaica

Note: The full instructions are provided in the recipe card below.

In a pot, add 4 cups of water and the flower of Jamaica and bring it to a boil for about 5 minutes over medium-low heat.

Remove from the heat and let it cool at room temperature. Strain the water through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher and reserve the flowers.

Add the remaining water and sugar and mix well. Refrigerate until cold.

Serve cold with ice and garnish with lime, if desired. Enjoy!
