How to Make Whole Wheat Banana Bread

Preheat the oven to 350 °F (176.67 °C) and set an oven rack in the middle. Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease with non-stick cooking spray.
Whisk together the whole wheat flour, milled flax seeds, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda in a medium bowl. Set aside. Whisk together the honey, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
Add the sour cream, lemon juice, and mashed banana and whisk until smooth. Using a rubber spatula, fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined (do not over-mix). Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
How to Make Honey Glaze
In a small saucepan, place the honey and the water; simmer until the honey dissolves entirely and thickens a bit, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract; let it cool.
Bake Whole Wheat Banana Bread for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. Remove from the oven and brush immediately with the honey glaze.
