Easy Caipirinha

Ingredients
  

  • 1- ½ oz (50 ml) of Cachaça, such as Cachaça 51
  • 2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 lime (cut into 8 wedges)

Instructions
 

  • In a glass, muddle the sugar into the lime wedges. Fill the glass with ice cubes, pour the Cachaça into the glass. Mix everything with a mixer and serve. Enjoy our Caipirinha!

Notes

How to Store 
Caipirinha is best consumed immediately after being prepared, but if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. However, lime juice may lose some freshness and flavor over time, so it's best to consume the leftover drink as soon as possible.
Make-Ahead
If you want to make Caipirinha ahead of time, you can prepare the sugar and lime wedges mixture and store it in the refrigerator for up to a day. To do so, cut the lime into wedges and place them into a container with the sugar. Muddle the lime wedges and sugar together until the juice is extracted and the sugar is dissolved. Cover the container with a lid and store it in the refrigerator.
When ready to serve, take the container out of the fridge, stir the mixture quickly, and pour it over a glass filled with ice cubes. Add the Cachaça, stir well to combine, and garnish with a slice of lime, if desired. By preparing the sugar and lime wedges mixture, you can save time and have your Caipirinha ready quickly. Just remember to consume the drink as soon as possible to avoid the lime juice losing its freshness and flavor.
