Notes

How to Store & Re-Heat
  • To store: Orange Honey Butter, transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate it for up to two weeks. When ready to use it, remove the butter from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to soften. You can also microwave the butter for a few seconds on low power to soften it more quickly, but be careful not to overheat it.
  • To reheat: The Orange Honey Butter, spoon the desired amount into a microwave-safe bowl or dish and microwave on low power for a few seconds until it reaches your desired consistency. Be sure to stir the butter occasionally while reheating to ensure it heats evenly.
Make-Ahead
Orange Honey Butter can easily be made beforehand, making it a great option for busy mornings or hosting guests. After preparing the butter according to the recipe, transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. This make-ahead option is convenient and ensures that you have a delicious and flavorful spread ready whenever you need it.
How to Freeze
Chill the orange honey butter in the fridge before spooning it onto plastic wrap. Next, secure it in a couple of layers of plastic wrap. Freeze for up to two months in advance. Refrigerate overnight to thaw.
Notes:
  • Cover leftover tightly and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week; soften before use.
  • You can use salted butter- omit the kosher salt.
  • You can also slice the butter into individual pieces after rolling it into a log and chilling it. Here's how to do it: Shape the blended butter into a rectangle on a piece of plastic wrap. Next, wrap the butter tightly in plastic wrap, folding the sides in, then the top and bottom. Refrigerate until firm, then roll into a log. Cut ¼- to ½-inch slices and arrange in a butter dish to serve.
