It is a light and refreshing fruit salad that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the tanginess of oranges, creating a burst of flavor that will awaken your senses.

Adding a mint-infused syrup takes this fruit salad to the next level, adding a subtle freshness and depth of flavor that complements the sweetness of the fruits perfectly.

Apart from its mouth-watering taste, this Strawberry Fruit Salad is also an excellent source of vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. Vitamin C is a vital nutrient that helps boost the immune system, promotes healthy skin, and aids in iron absorption.

This recipe for strawberry fruit salad is incredibly easy to make and can be customized to your liking. You can use different citrus fruits, such as blood oranges or grapefruits, or add other berries, such as blueberries or raspberries, for extra flavor. You can also adjust the sugar and lemon juice in the syrup to suit your taste preference. This Strawberry Fruit Salad is a delicious and healthy treat and a visually appealing dish.

The bright colors of the fruits and the mint leaves create a beautiful contrast, making it perfect for special occasions or as a centerpiece for your table. Notes

    How to Store
To store the Strawberry Fruit Salad, cover the serving bowl tightly with plastic wrap or transfer the salad to an airtight container. Refrigerate the salad for up to 1 day, although it is best to consume it within the first day for optimal freshness and flavor. If the salad has been sitting in the fridge for a while, the fruit may release some of its juices, making the syrup more diluted. In this case, you can either drain the excess liquid or add more syrup to balance the flavors. Before serving, give the salad a gentle toss to redistribute the syrup and mint leaves.
    How to Make Ahead
You can prepare the Strawberry Fruit Salad ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Here's how to make it ahead:
Prepare the fruit: Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries, and peel and segment the oranges. Place the fruit in a large bowl or container.
Make the syrup: In a separate bowl, mix together the freshly squeezed orange juice, lemon juice, and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add the finely chopped mint and stir to combine.
Combine the fruit and syrup: Pour the syrup over the fruit and gently toss to coat. Cover the bowl or container with plastic wrap or a tight-fitting lid.
Chill the salad: Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes or up to 6 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the fruits to absorb the syrup.
Garnish and serve: Before serving, sprinkle the salad with chopped fresh mint leaves and garnish with a sprig of mint, if desired. Serve the salad in shallow bowls with spoons.
By making the Strawberry Fruit Salad ahead of time, you can save time and make entertaining easier. Just make sure to toss the salad gently before serving to redistribute the syrup and mint leaves.
    How to Freeze
Unfortunately, the Strawberry Fruit Salad does not freeze well as the texture of the fruits may become mushy, and the syrup may separate when thawed. It is best to consume the salad fresh or within a day of making it.
