What is Milk Soak?
Milk Soak is a mixture of milk and flavored extract or another flavor additive. It adds extra moisture, richness, and flavor to the cake when it layers it up. You can sweeten the milk with sugar if desired.
How to use it?
Poke holes all over your cake with a toothpick, and drizzle or brush about 2 tablespoons of the mixture over the surface of each cake throughout every stage of assembly and decoration. Yield: each recipe makes about 128ml (½ cup) | Total time: 5 minutes
How to Make Vanilla Milk Soak
Ingredients
- 118ml (½ cup) warm water combined with 2 tablespoons dried whole milk, such as Nido, or use regular whole milk
- 2 ml (½ teaspoon) pure vanilla extract
- 2 ml (½ teaspoon) clear vanilla extract

- 59 ml (¼ cup) heavy cream, light cream, or whole milk

Notes:
