Margarita
by Camila Benitez
A Margarita is a classic Mexican cocktail made with tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur. It's typically served in a glass with a salted rim and can be enjoyed on the rocks, blended, or straight.

Place granulated sugar or kosher salt on a small plate. Rub the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge, then dip it into the sugar or salt, if desired. Add ice to the glass if using.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice, and orange-flavored liqueur. Shake well.
Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a lime slice.
Storage: I don’t recommend storing Margaritas—this cocktail is best served right away for the freshest flavor.
