Ingredients
  

  • One 2-inch piece of ginger , peeled and sliced into thin coins
  • 1 cup honey or granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Heat the honey or sugar and water in a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. When the sugar is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes, stir in the ginger and remove from heat. Let the ginger steep until the syrup is completely cool. Remove the ginger and transfer the syrup to an airtight container. Refrigerate until ready to use for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!

How to Store & Re-Heat
  • To store: Honey ginger syrup, transfer it to a clean, airtight jar or bottle, and refrigerate it. The syrup can last up to a month in the refrigerator, but the flavor may degrade after a week or two.
  • To reheat: Remove it from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.
