Instructions

  • Add the half and half, and dulce de leche to a 2-quart saucepan. Place over medium heat and whisk until the dulce de leche has completely melted.

Notes

How to Store
Transfer it to an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for 7 days. Before using it, shake the container well to recombine any separated ingredients. If the creamer has been in the fridge for a few days, you may notice it has thickened slightly. If this is the case, you can add a splash of milk to thin it out to your desired consistency.
Make-Ahead
To make this Dulce De Leche Creamer ahead of time, simply follow the recipe instructions to prepare it. Once it has cooled to room temperature, transfer it into an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. It can be made up to 7 days in advance, allowing you to have a delicious homemade creamer readily available for your coffee or other beverages whenever needed. Just stir it before using it if any separation occurs during storage. Enjoy the convenience of having your creamer prepared ahead of time!
Notes:
  • Nondairy milk, such as soy, coconut, or almond milk, can be substituted if desired. However, when making the creamers, use fresh dairy products.
  • If you want the Dulce de Leche creamer to be less sweet, add another 14 oz. Milk or half and half.
  • Dulce De Leche creamer can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
  • One easy way to tell if your homemade creamer is no longer good is to perform a simple sniff test. Throw it out if it has a sour odor or if the creamer curdles, it's past its prime and should be discarded.
