Ingredients You'll Need

See recipe card for quantities.

  • Brewed Coffee: Use any coffee you love drinking. The stronger the brew, the bolder your cubes will taste when they melt into your iced coffee.
  • Sweetener (Optional): If you like your iced coffee a little sweet, mix in your favorite sweetener before freezing.

How to Make Coffee Ice Cubes

Note: Full instructions are provided in the recipe card below.

  • Brew or use leftover coffee and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Sweeten if desired.
  • Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze for 4-6 hours.
  • Transfer frozen cubes to a freezer-safe container or bag for storage.

Storage

Storage: Store frozen coffee ice cubes in a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 2 weeks.

Camila's Tips & Variations

  • Cold Brew for Bold Cubes: Cold brew makes excellent coffee ice cubes, adding a smooth, rich flavor to your iced coffee without bitterness.
  • Freeze Concentrate: Freeze cold brew concentrate before diluting it with water to maintain a strong flavor.
  • Freeze Pure Coffee: Skip adding milk or sugar before freezing.
  • Use Strong Coffee: Choose medium or dark roasts for bold flavors that shine in iced coffee. Lighter roasts may taste watered down when chilled.
  • Freshness Matters: Coffee ice cubes are best used within two weeks to avoid stale flavors.
  • Store Properly: Keep cubes in an airtight container or freezer bag to preserve freshness and avoid freezer odors.
  • Experiment with Add-Ins: Add a splash of vanilla, a pinch of cinnamon, or caramel for extra flavor.
  • Creative Uses: Coffee cubes aren't just for coffee-try them in iced tea, chocolate milk, or cocktails to chill without diluting.
